CONFIDENTIAL NATURE OF FACILITY INFORMATION
1.
As required by regulations and facility policies, medical records and
related resident information are extremely confidential and must be guarded
as such. 2.
Every new employee will be required to sign a confidentiality
statement upon employment to verify that they are aware of this requirement
and condition of employment. 3.
Any employee who discloses confidential information to any person,
including residents, visitors, or other employees, or outside parties will
be subject to immediate dismissal, and could be subject to legal
prosecution. 4.
All inquiries concerning a resident’s personal affairs or condition
should be referred to the appropriate supervisory staff.
